Capacity Building Programme for Small Business The Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber is proud to announce the launch of a Capacity Building Programme for small business owners and entrepreneurs in partnership with COMSEC and with the support of Standard Bank. Applications for the first intake close on 13 July 2011. A selection process will follow. The first programme will commence 22 July 2011 and successful participants will receive a certificate of competence and credits towards a New Venture Creation qualification. If you’re a small business owner and you - want to learn to run your business more effectively - want to become a creator of jobs - have been in business for at least two years - have an annual turnover of at least R300 000 - are willing to commit to a three-month programme then you may qualify to take part in this excellent subsidized and accredited programme. The programme focuses on basic business principles and covers: • Business Planning • Marketing • Human Resources • Financial Management • Customer Care • Legal Requirements • Business Ethics Cost: R1300 (excl. VAT) for Chamber members; R1500 (excl. VAT) for non-members Further reductions are available to companies that are 50% Black-owned.
