South End- Baakens Commemoration WALK

This is a Historic WALK to remember, and reclaim South End for the people that were forcefully removed in the olden days relocated to areas like New Brighton, and Northern Areas.

The Walk is a dedication to those people of South End. The walk will occur on the Human Rights day which is befitting for the rights of the people that were taken away from them when they were forced to move.

The day also coincides with the Birthday of the Museum as it was established on 21 March 2001.

Come join us and learn more about the history of South End as well as the Settlers Park. Hear what life the people of South End used to live back in the days. The True Rainbow Nation. The event is organized by The Swallows Foundation SA / Isiseko Senkonjane supported by the Mandela Bay Development Agency on behalf of South End Museum. It also coincides with the development of the Baakens Precinct which is being done by the MBDA.
