St Augustine's Art Festival
St Augustine’s Cathedral, built in 1866, forms part of the unique heritage of the Port Elizabeth landscape.
An art exhibition will be held in the MacSherry Hall as part of a fundraising campaign for the ongoing maintenance of the Cathedral and specifically for the eradication of borer beetle in the wooden beams. Artwork from parishioners and friends of St Augustine’s will be on display, and for sale, as well as the work of well-known artist Michael Barry. Three priests, Fathers Anthony Padua, Sizwe Zungu and Fr Jerry Browne will also contribute some of their work to the exhibition. Please come along to the launch in the MacSherry Hall on Friday the 26th of October at 6:30 PM. Arrival drinks will be served. The exhibition will run until Sunday the 28th of October at 12 noon.
