In their proud tradition of musical theatre excellence, Alexander Road High School are thrilled to announce their production of The Addams Family. Director, Greg Everard has wowed PE audiences both on stage and as Director of award-winning shows such as Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Hairspray, Shrek The Musical and The Crucible.

Musical Director Nici Coleman has presided over shows such as Oliver, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Annie, Les Miserables, Hairspray and Shrek The Musical. Choreographer, Chireen Ferreira, has had a theatre career, both local and international, spanning more than 30 years.

The roles of Morticia and Gomez Addams are played by staff members Minkie-Ann Grundill and Cliffie Kleb who are no strangers to the stage. Wednesday Addams is played by Rachael Saunders, while Uncle Fester is played by Luzuko Mavela.

The Addams Family is based upon cartoon characters created by Charles Addams, depicting a ghoulish American family with an attraction for everything macabre. Numerous film and television adaptations exist, but the musical is based upon the cartoons rather than the television and film characters. This fun new family musical has great dance numbers, catchy tunes, amazing costumes and props, sets and make-up created by a dedicated team of helpers.

The show runs at the Savoy Theatre from 2 - 13 May with matinee on Saturday 6 and 13 May.
