BOARDWALK CELEBRATES ITS 10th BIRTHDAY WITH A BANG! In celebration of its 10th birthday the Boardwalk has a line up of celebrations that leave nothing to the imagination. A very significant one to note is the fireworks display that the Boardwalk will be putting on to entertain the crowds on the 9th of October. “We are encouraging all the friendly people of Port Elizabeth who have supported the Boardwalk over the past ten years to come witness what promises to be a carnival of colour in the Boardwalk night sky and to say thank you for their continued support” says Boardwalk Marketing Manager, Tanuja Gangabishun. The 10th birthday celebrations will kick off on a musical note with the young and talented band New Afro Teens who will be performing on the lake to get the crowds in high spirits for the fireworks display. “The fireworks display will definitely be an event that people of the friendly city will remember from years to come an d we urge all our visitors to gather around the lake for a festival of lights and colour and witness the Boardwalk come alive” says Public Relations and Entertainment Manager, Ayanda Bambiso The festivities will kick of at 19h00 with a performance by the New Afro Teens followed by a spectacular fireworks display at 20h00 and end of with yet another live performance by the New Afro Teens till 22h00.
