For the past 10 years, The Boardwalk Conference Centre has been synonymous with hosting Eastern Cape’s prime events and has received major accolades for its service excellence and graded facilities. The Boardwalk Conference Centre will close its doors on the 3rd of May 2011 to make way for state of the art event, conferencing and gaming facilities. One of the events that have been confirmed to pay homage to this important landmark is Community Chest Silver Star Charity Ball that will take place on Saturday, the 16th of April 2011 in association with The Boardwalk. The main aim of the Silver Star Charity Ball is to raise funds for 80 needy charities in the Metro. Beneficiaries include charities for the physically and mentally abused, aged persons and poverty stricken communities. The success of this event is so important to Community Chest and we are humbled by the support we have received from The Boardwalk who have offered us an opportunity to host this worthy event.Community Chest urge all corporates and supporters of charities to follow suit and support this event by purchasing tables. Tables are available at a contribution of R4000 per table of ten. Couple tickets are available for R800. For an additional contribution of R200 per table, Miss SA will be your guest of honour.
