PE’s stalwart band, The Brothers, are launching their 3rd CD at the end of this month. The Brothers' latest 14-track release "Hey Now" is a mix of reggae, ska, jazz, country, afro and funk - a genre blend that they have titled "skafrican". Touching on environmental issues, morality, and the ocean addict's call to the sea, among other themes, The Brothers have created their 3rd full-length offering as a groove-infested wake-up cry. Laden with genuine hammond organ, brass section, three-part vocals, and, of course, drums, bass and guitars, the album was recorded over 15 months. The record is like a good curry, where the authentic ingredients have had time to stew in the mix, to put forth a unique flavour greater than the sum of its parts. They are once again celebrating this momentousness in the heart of PE.
