Tsitsikamma MTB Race & Trail Run

The Merrell Tsitsikamma MTB race and trail run was established in 2012 and is a prominent event on the local MTB and trail running calendar. It is perfectly situated in Tsitsikamma to draw riders and runners from both the Eastern and Southern Cape.

Offering mountain bikers and trail runners not only a test of skill, but also breath-taking views from rugged cliffs high above the Indian ocean. This is a professionally organised event not only for serious athletes but also suited for weekend warriors and families looking for a day out together.

MTB race distances:
• 60 km MTB & 60 km E-bike – the longest challenge through diverse forest and coastal terrain.
• 40 km MTB & 40 km E-bike – a rewarding mid-distance ride with ocean views.
• 19 km MTB – a fun, accessible route for novice riders.
• 12 km MTB – ideal for newcomers and younger riders.

Trail Run distances:
• 30 km Trail Run – the flagship running challenge through scenic trails.
• 19 km Trail Run – a strong middle-distance option.
• 12 km Trail Run – great for a trail run with stunning forest and mountain views.
• 6 km Trail Run – a shorter, beginner-friendly route.
