Veld Fest
A local music festival set to take place on 1 November 2015, the Veld Fest is guaranteed to get your charitable heart racing!
With the aim of showcasing Nelson Mandela Bay’s emerging art scene, and raising funds for Maranatha Streetworkers Trust, the second edition of Veld Fest intends to create a vibrant atmosphere of eight live music acts, food trucks, pop up stores and outdoor art. Hosted from the Maranatha grounds in Forest Hill Drive, Port Elizabeth, event proceedings are scheduled to start at midday, and conclude at 8pm.
Veld Fest has a focal theme of giving back to the community, whereby a charitable spirit will be encouraged by means of lucky draws and bids throughout the day. National artist, Nonku Phiri will be taking the stage, having just toured Asia and Africa. Local Bay favourites are also on the musical cards, performances from NMMU Madibaz band, Richard Saunders, Skullmonkey, Dj Spectrum, Reece Brooks and Grant Allison to name a few.
