WINGS AND WHEELS FESTIVAL 2014

RE: PRELIMINARY CHRONOLOGICAL PROGRAM FOR WINGS AND WHEELS ON 27,28 & 29TH MARCH 2014

• THURSDAY THE 27TH OF MARCH

16h00 – The Amusement Park will start operating.

• FRIDAY THE 28TH OF MARCH

8h00– The stalls will start to open.  All exhibitors of the cars, motorbikes and the Aeroplanes will start displaying.   Aeroplanes will be arriving during the day to join in for the weekend or for the Air show.  The validation of Aircraft taking part in the Air show will occur.  The Skydivers will start with their activities.

15h00 – Talented and well-known local Singers will be show casing their talents.

• SATURDAY THE 29TH MARCH

8h00 – The gates open.  The “Doggie Walk”, Skydivers, Helicopters and the Aeroplanes will be available for the Public.  The Veteran Cars and bikes will all meet at the Auto Pavilion in Uitenhage.

9h00– The Parade of Veteran Cars and motorbikes will begin their journey from Uitenhage to the Airfield.

10h00 – The Parade of cars and motorbikes and microlight aircraft, led by a Pipe Band will occur to open the Festival.

10h30 – The Executive Mayor Mr Ben Fihla will officially open the Show.

10h45– The Police and Fire Department will present a highjacking scene for the public.

11h30 – The Festival will proceed with Singers, Music, Skydives, Helicopters and aeroplane flips.

14h00 – 15h00 –The AIRSHOW (Doug Davidson Memorial Airshow)

The following aircraft are going to perform aerobatic displays for the Public. 

Mustang, Sukhoi, Harvard, Steerman, RV7, Motor paraglider, Helicopter, Whisper and will culminate with the flight of the L39 Jet.

15h00- 24h00 – The Festival will continue, with all the food stalls, craft stalls. 4x4 track, Amusement park, Live Music performances, Aircraft flights and more.
