ZWARTKOPS CONSERVANCY SPRING WALK
28 September 2014 - 28 September 2014
The walk starts at 09h00 and should last between 3 and 4 hours. The whole trail is 11 Km long, but there are different short cuts so families with children can come and walk as far as they are able.
The walk includes wonderful panoramic views of the area and the experience of walking through 3m high Valley Thicket. The Flamingoes are a magnificent sight on the salt pans.
Meet at the Algoa Brick factory off Grahamstown Rd. where there will be guards to look after your cars.
Bring a hat, good walking shoes, a stick for the slippery parts, water, a snack and mossie repellent!!
For more info. contact Jenny Rump on 041-4661815/0828530700.
P.S. If there is heavy rain the week before the walks, we may not be able to do the Flamingo Trail. We will redirect people to the Aloe Reserve instead. This means unless there is rain on the day, the walk is on. The Aloe Reserve is in Bluewater Bay & the trail is 8Km long.
