5150 Bela Bela Triathlon Race Week has arrived!
The big weekend has arrived as Bela Bela gears up for South Africa’s biggest Standard Distance Triathlon. This year’s race is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet with nearly 1000 athletes entered. Forever Resorts Warmbaths is the place to be this Saturday, 25 August.

Last year saw nearly 500 athletes taking part in the inaugural event with South Africa’s Travis Johnston and Lucie Zelenkova from the Czech Republic taking the spoils. This sparked interest from far and wide and as a result record athlete numbers have been recorded this year with nearly 1000 athletes, 31 teams and 26 international athletes from 11 different nations. An astonishing 53.03% of the entrants will be taking part in either their first ever Standard Distance Triathlon or their very first triathlon event.  The race consists of a 1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run.

It promises to be an exciting day for athletes and spectators alike with Forever Resorts offering a discounted entrance fee of R50 per person for the public on Race Day on 25 August. Apart from being able to witness the red hot 5150 race action, the public will be able enjoy all the fantastic facilities on offer at Forever Resorts Warmbaths.

The race starts at 12:00 at the Forever Resorts Warmbaths ski-dam and finishes at 18:00 under the 5150 Finisher Arch. In addition to the awesome race action, the atmosphere on race day truly adds to the fun and excitement. Immediately after the race, the 5150 Awards Ceremony and Finish Line Party on the red carpet will end the festivities off on a high. Athletes and spectators can have a great time with the Distell Tent and Spur Tent open to athletes and the public offering great food and refreshments.

Look no further than Forever Resorts Warmbaths and the 5150 Bela Bela Triathlon this weekend for some great fun and triathlon action.
