Airport arrival and departure times available on NMBT web

IN effort to keep the Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism (NMBT) website on the cutting edge of service delivery for tourists and locals, all Port Elizabeth airport arrival and departure times will now be available on the website.

“The airport is the first port of call for any tourist and hence the place where first impressions are made. But this is all changing with the power of the internet – visitors’ first experiences of a destination are often virtual,” said NMBT marketing manager, Titus Chuene.

“Basically this means that the initial web experience has to be favourable as a first impression. So at NMBT we are aiming to improve the initial web experience of potential tourists by offering everything from 360 degree virtual tours to the nuts and bolts airport arrival and departure times.”
   
Chuene said the NMBT website aimed to offer more and more over time and that while having the new arrival/ departure times feature may seem logical, it was indicative of moves afoot within the organisation to acknowledge the power of the online platform.

“This forms part of our bigger picture and vision, where NMBT wants to increase its spend and efforts on e-marketing to reach a wider audience,” added Chuene.
