Bay Gears Up for Major Automotive Events

Nelson Mandela Bay will host South Africa’s two biggest automotive events this year – NAACAM Show 2025 and SA Auto Week 2025 – positioning the metro as a manufacturing hub and global trade gateway.

These exhibitions will draw thousands of visitors and spotlight the Bay’s strengths in manufacturing, logistics, and tourism. The Municipality hopes this will attract investment, innovation, and technology improvements.

For the first time, the NAACAM Show will be held in the Bay, in partnership with government through the Automotive Industry Development Centre Eastern Cape (AIDC-EC). As the premier platform for showcasing South Africa’s automotive component manufacturing, the show highlights a sector that delivers 64,000 local jobs and contributes 20% to the metro’s economy. Automotive goods also make up 60% of the Bay’s exports.

The event will bring together key stakeholders to build partnerships, drive investment, and accelerate progress toward the goals of the SA Automotive Masterplan 2035.
