BEACH SERIES EXPECTING RECORD ATTENDANCE
No matter the weather, the Ocean Racing Series kids are always out in force
Following three well supported events in not so great weather, this Sunday's aQuellé Ocean Racing Series will be hoping for better weather and a record attendance for the 4th round of the Series which is unique to Nelson Mandela Bay and captioned as Africa's largest family beach event.
"There's nothing similar on this continent and we're only aware of New Zealand which offers something similar for families. No fewer than 7 events all taking place at the same time, the Series certainly has something for everyone and offers a fantastic fun and healthy morning down at the beach." said Series creator Michael Zoetmulder of Zsports Events NPC.
For those who fancy a dip in the ocean, the Series has a 400m, 1km, 2km and 3km race to consider whilst for those who prefer keeping their feet dry there is a 5km Beach Run, 5km Beach Walk and a Kids 12 years and under 1km Beach Run which this season if being extremely well supported by children under the age of 6 years.
The aQuellé Ocean Racing Series takes place on mostly alternate Sunday morning’s throughout Summer at Hobie Beach. Races start at 9am with registration at the beach from 7.30am on the morning. See www.oceanracingseries.com on how your family can get involved and join them at Hobie Beach for round 4 this Sunday morning.
