Branding brings Port Elizabeth International Airport to Life

Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism unveiled the new airport branding to welcome visitors to Nelson Mandela Bay, Proud Host City for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The Port Elizabeth International Airport, as one of the first points of contact for tourists coming into the Eastern Cape, has been branded as a branding essence campaign by Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism. Further pillar branding has been a collaborative effort by Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism, Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, the Eastern Cape Tourism Board and the Cacadu Distric Municipality.

The branding reflects all various tourism offerings of the area including wildlife and nature, adventure activities, beaches, cultural heritage and more. The airport branding is aimed at enticing visitors to prolong their stay in the province as well as invite visitors who are not specifically tourist related to visit again.

“We are extremely excited to unveil the branding in conjunction with the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The branding has formed part of our long term integrated marketing plan that goes beyond the world cup, which is why the visual branding is aimed at long standing attractions to ensure that this project is an investment in the city” said Titus Cheune, Marketing Manager for NMBT.
