Careers exhibition equips high school learners

The annual event will attract up to 15 000 grade 12 learners and their families who will be treated to an array of opportunities, resources and career information at the Feathermarket Centre from Wednesday March 7 to Saturday March 10.
Entry is free to all visitors, but project director Andrew Binning advised families to visit the expo on Saturday. He said the venue would be buzzing with organised school groups from Wednesday to Friday, with the Saturday more geared to the general public.
Visitors will be exposed to leading educational institutions and training colleges, including all faculties at the NMMU, offering an array of courses from brick-laying to engineering.
Participating corporate who will be accessible to visitors with guidance and resources of their own at include VWSA, Old Mutual, Services Seta, Aberdare Cables, Thomas International, Continental, MerSETA, SAQA, HWSETA, PWC, Nedbank, Coega Development Corporation, Transnet and Aspen Pharmacare.
The WWE, which is facilitated by Inkanyezi Events, is made possible by the NMMU, VWSA, Services Seta, Old Mutual, the Department of Education and Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. It will impact over 20 000 Gr 12 learners during March in Nelson Mandela Bay (7-10 March) and in East London on May 24 and 25.
