Come wine, dine and taste the Flavours of the City at the Boardwalk Casino

Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism along with Flavours of The City has partnered to bring Port Elizabeth locals a taste of the City. On the 4th May – 6 May 2012 masses of the friendly city are invited to take part in the first Food , Wine and Lifestyle Festival dubbed, Flavours of the City.

In its launching year Flavours of the City Festival promises to be a feast of indulgency, set in the glorious setting of Boardwalk Casino Lawn Area. The festival will offer signature dishes prepared by expert chefs alongside wine from the most discerning vintners, home-made cooks and all kinds of foods, from traditional cheeses to organic meats that exert the definition of lifestyles. Different, top range vehicles will be on display. Beer and food pairing will be the first of it’s kind in Port Elizabeth. Be sure, not to miss out on this wonderful experience.

Flavour of the City Festival hopes to play an integral part in South Africa’s future in terms of the role it plays in fostering entrepreneurship and job creation.

 We felt that 2012 is the right time to establish a lifestyle event that showcases the best of what Nelson Mandela Bay has to offer, says Ntsikelelo Ngcakana, Managing Director of Flavours of the City.
The festival prides itself on being one of the activities found in the province that are set to bring tourism. The key of this event is to bring together SMMEs, the youth, community organisations, consumers and others to celebrate Nelson Mandela Bay’s richness and diversity.

Being the first of its kind in the area, Flavour of the City is not just about business; visitors are encouraged to embrace the festival as a family event – visitors will be entertained by an impressive line-up of musical entertainment. Additional attractions include the VIP Lounge sponsored by the Boardwalk. All in all, the festival offers the best value-for-money family entertainment available in Port Elizabeth in May.

To be part of the festival, get your ticket from Computicket at  R60(standard entry only)You will get a glass at the entrance upon presenting that ticket .
