An hilarious night of stand-up comedy in the heart of Port Elizabeth.

 

On the 4 December the Home Invasion Comedy show at Roof Garden Bar brings new comedy acts HOME to the inner city.

Featuring up and coming Eastern Cape comedians TD Jokes - Bishop of Humour, Soso-The-Banker and well known media producer Julie Coetzee, plus music by DJ SuliSoul.

 

The Home Invasion Comedy Show promises to be a great line-up of professional comedy acts with some great house DJing by one of PE’s hottest female musicians. The upbeat trio all draw their inspiration from different “fields of study”, and find the funny side of religion, politics, work, and dating, no topic is off limits, but one thing you can be assured of is that these acts have all done their homework. Having all recently performed across the country, they are coming home to Port Elizabeth to share a stage at one more show before 2018 ends.

 

Well known entrepreneur and media personality, Julie Coetzee, picked up the Stand-Up comedy mic earlier in 2018 and hasn’t stopped since. Her blend of modern day subjects from Tinder to White Privilege are a relatable look at 21st century living, loving and its struggles.

 

Sonwabile Sigcau affectionally known as Soso The Banker is a Mthatha born comedian, MC who thrives in entertaining audiences with his humour, wit and sharpness. Winner of Vodacom Comedy Campus Tour 2007 in Cape Town, Soso has since returned to his hometown (Mthatha) where he has been a pioneer in growing & promoting stand-up comedy with recurring shows. He has performed with National & International acts like Loyiso Gola, Riaad Moosa, Chris Forrest, Stephen Grant, Skhumba & famously known Trevor Noah.

 

Thembinkosi Dike, aka TD Jokes, is a recognizable business personality, best known for his “Bishop of Comedy” sell out shows. He looks at the lighter side of his upbringing, and the South African landscape. After sell out one-man shows in other Eastern Cape cities, he is ready to close out the year on a home stage.

 

DJ SuliSoul is on the decks keeping the lineup moving along. This fierce DJ has been making a name for herself and growing a fan base.DJ SULISOUL comes from a television and radio presenting background and so brings an element of drama and intentional engagement in her DJ sets.

 

The venue, Roof Garden Bar is a trendy upmarket inner-city events venue, known for its diverse line up of music, art, film and fashion events. With views of Algoa Bay, Donkin Village Creative Quarter and the CBD, it is one of the best sunset views in the city.

Roof Garden Bar’s fully stocked bar will serve up beverages from 6pm so come early and enjoy the sunset.
