DESMOND & THE TUTUS HIT UP THE BAY AT BSB

Desmond & The Tutus, who have been scare-crowing across the world’s stages with their unique sound for just over 10 years, will performing live at Bridge Street Brewery on Saturday, 5 August, with their unique and what some might call it niche, brand of kwela-indie-punk sound.   Doors open at 5pm with local favourites as opening acts:  Marc Anthony, Devon van Driel and Too Many Chiefs.

To call it niche would be entirely missing the point… The Tutus are more shape-shifters than niche.  If you prefer not to use your imagination then here are 2 facts to prove how amazing this band is: Desmond & the Tutus picked up the South African Music Award (SAMA) for Best Rock Album in 2016 and the band’s singles ‘Pretoria Girls’ and ‘Zim Zala Bim’ hit Number 1 on the 5FM Top40."

It will be business as usual at Bridge Street Brewery, which will be open for trade to the public during the day, but closing at 4pm for sound checks before the show.

Tickets are available at Bridge Street Brewery or online at www.webtickets.co.za.  Tickets prices are R100 (pre-sold) and R120 at the door.
