DON’T MISS THE BOARDWALK’S BIRTHDAY AMAZING RACE THIS WEEKEND
The first ever fast paced and fabulously fun Boardwalk Birthday Amazing Race is set to unravel on Saturday, 24 October 2015. The event, staged in collaboration with Algoa FM and participating retailers at The Boardwalk, is to mark the complex’s 15th birthday.
It is a scavenger hunt inspired by the hit TV series, The Amazing Race, and will see 15 pairs race against each other – and against the clock – to perform tasks and unlock clues hidden all over The Boardwalk complex. The race participants will be chosen by means of a campaign during the Fast Lane on Algoa FM over the course of the past week.
They will have to put their heads together crack the clues and complete challenges, with a few twists and turns along the way. The fast paced scramble kicks off at 10h00 at The Boardwalk Amphitheatre. The teams will have two hours to complete the race to finish by 12h00 at the Amphitheatre. Prizes up for grabs include R15 000 in cash for the winning team, courtesy of The Boardwalk.
According to The Boardwalk’s Marketing Manager, Nqobile Majozi, spectators are welcome to come down to The Boardwalk and be part of the spirited event.
“We’ve cooked up some interesting challenges for our Birthday Amazing Race participants and it is going to be loads of fun to watch. We invite our community to be part of our fun filled birthday celebration by joining us on Saturday. A super atmosphere and loads of activities are promised. Make a day of it and bring the family to watch the race and enjoy a hearty lunch afterwards,” she says.
