Glorious adventure for hunky men
KUZUKO Lodge – also referred to as “a place of glory” - hosted 15 proudly Nelson Mandela Bay Mr PE finalists for a team building weekend prior to the recent competition won by Peter Myburg.

The finalists had to take part in some fun tasks that formed part of the competition whose main sponsors were NMBT member The Boardwalk and Die Burger newspaper.

“The team building weekend was amazing. Game drives were inspiring and mind opening. Kuzuko Lodge is a real hidden treasure in the Eastern Cape. It is a real place of glory,” said Mr PE finalist Theo Klaas.

Another finalist Anthonie Theron thanked Kuzuko Lodge for “an unforgettable weekend and for providing us with adventure-driven activities. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, staff professional and friendly and there were excellent conference facilities”.

The lodge lies in a private concession to the north of the Addo Elephant National Park, the third largest national park in South Africa in a malaria-free region. It was an ideal setting in which the finalists had to change a tyre and “not phone road side assistance”, read and read again especially when following specific instructions, appreciate a hot shower, think ahead and pay attention.

Great initiative and culinary skill came to the fore during the potjiekos competition.

General Manager of Kuzuko Lodge, Miss Catherina da Lange said they were proud and happy to host truly well mannered young men of which that Nelson Mandela Bay can be proud.

The finalists also enjoyed viewing Kuzuko’s cheetahs that have been habituated to allow humans to view them “up close and personal”.

“They are not tame but will tolerate you while you spend time with them on ground level,” said Da Lange.
The cheetah experience forms part of a three-hour game drive. An additional fee is charged and donated to the Kuzuko Foundation for wildlife rehabilitation.
