How will you welcome tourists to Nelson Mandela Bay?

To ensure that you are geared up with knowledge of the area and its tourism offerings Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism and the Nelson Mandela Bay 2010 Directorate in association with Bay FM have been hosting road shows during the month of May. Live broadcasts, amazing competitions, “Know Your City” campaigns and loads of information on what to see and do in your area was on display.

So far the crew has visited Port Elizabeth, Patensie and Jeffreys Bay with Addo being the last stop on 29 May 2010 at the Kilmurray Garage.

“The response thus far has been phenomenal. It was amazing to see how many people where interested in what we had on offer, people who live outside of Patensie even made the effort to drive to town and visit us” said Helmut of Bay FM

The people of the area have been incredibly welcoming to the Team and the Jeffreys Bay Rugby Day led to a large amount of people visiting the exhibition including people from St Francis Bay and Paradise Beach. While live interviews with tourism role players in the area showed the passion and love the locals share for the area.

“It has been an honour to work with Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism and to be involved in such a great initiative. It has been a great opportunity for us as well as NMBT to build relationships with the communities surrounding Nelson Mandela Bay” added Helmut.
