Iron Girl East London Entries Open
The New Year fireworks start on Saturday 19 January with Iron Girl South Africa making another splash in East London! The popular ladies-only race is back and entries are now open.

Iron Girl has made quite the impression since first coming to South Africa in 2011. Owned by World Triathlon Corporation, the same company that owns the IRONMAN, IRONMAN 70.3 and 5150 race brands, Iron Girl is a premium ladies fun run, unlike anything else in South Africa. The East London event, now making its third appearance, is the curtain raiser to one of the biggest IRONMAN 70.3 events in the world, the Spec-Savers IRONMAN 70.3 South Africa which takes place the very next day.

Iron Girl East London is a 9.2km fun run for women aged 14 and up and takes place along the East London Esplanade. Athletes can enter either as individuals or as mother-daughter teams.

This year’s event saw a record number 806 athletes taking part and having a fun time. That’s what Iron Girl is all about – fun; but for those who feel the need to be the best there are great prizes for the top three athletes in each age category and for the top three mother-daughter teams.

Every entrant receives a K-Swiss Iron Girl t-shirt and every finisher receives an Iron Girl finisher medal and downloadable certificate. Over and above, every athlete will be in for the most fun a girl can have on a Saturday morning!

Entry fee is R110 for individuals and R220 for mother-daughter teams. Enter now and be part of all the fun and camaraderie on Saturday 19 January 2013! Only 1200 entries will be taken. Online entries only at www.irongirl.co.za Entries close at midnight on Friday 11 January 2013 and no late entries will be taken.
