Iron Girl South Africa makes a return to Nelson Mandela Bay!
08 March 2012
1500 ladies will be lining up at Hobie Beach eager to take on the 10km fun run along Katie’s Walk. The event is a fun run so whether you want to be top of the pile or simply want to have fun in a great event, Iron Girl is for you.
Last year saw nearly 700 ladies taking on the 10km fun run with South African athletics legend, Zola Budd, being the first lady to cross the finish line. The 2012 event looks set to be the best one yet with entries in excess of 1000 expected.
Iron Girl’s aim is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle in women of various ages and fitness levels. It is simply a fun, outdoor event.
Iron Girl is open to ladies from the age of 14 and can be done individually or it can be a family affair as part of a mother-daughter team. Mother-daughter teams are timed individually and their times are combined. Runners and walkers are welcome.
Individual entry is only R100 and mother-daughter team entry is R200. The first 1500 entrants will receive a free K-Swiss Iron Girl race top and every finisher receives an Iron Girl South Africa finisher medal and downloadable certificate. Great prizes will be up for grabs for the top three finishers in each age group and for the first mother-daughter team.
Entries close on 30 March so visit www.irongirl.co.za now to enter!
