JULY CREATIVE HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS AT THE ART MUSEUM

Join us and explore the Art Museum and discover more about our exciting collections, how it connects us to history, to the present, to nature and to our communities. Make something fantastic to take home.

The theme for the workshops is Collections make Connections.

CHILDREN WORKSHOPS:

Date: Friday 4 July

Cost: R30.00 per person per workshop

Date:  Wednesday 9 July / Thursday 10 July

Age: 8 – 11 years old

Cost: R30.00 per person per workshop

Date:  Wednesday 16 July / Thursday 17 July

Age: 12 – 15 years old

Cost: R30.00 per person per workshop

FAMILY WORKSHOPS:

These workshops are ideal for parents who would like to be active in the workshop with their children.

Dates: 11 July / 18 July 2014

Children age: 3 – 7 years old

Cost: R 40.00 cash for 1 parent and 1 child. R 50.00 cash for 1 parent and 2 children.

ART ACTIVITY: Collage making - Mixed media (explore with different mediums)

A collage is a picture or design created by sticking flat elements to a flat surface. The word “collage” comes from the French word coller, meaning literally “to glue”. Other materials can include almost anything that can be glued or otherwise adhered to a flat surface, including paper scraps of all kinds, newspaper, string, cloth, magazine clippings, candy wrappers, playing cards, and postcards.

•           All the workshops start at 09h00 and finish at 12h00.

•           Please provide own lunch/snacks.

•           Bookings are essential as space is offered on first come first serve criteria.

•           The cost includes art material and equipment.

•           Payment to be made in cash and in advance to secure your booking.
