KFC Ironman 4 the Kidz Charity Auction now open!
The 2012 KFC Ironman 4 the Kidz Charity Auction is now open, this year with an array of sporting collector’s items that will be a standout feature on any wall or mantelpiece.

Over the past 8 years the KFC Ironman 4 the Kidz, founded by ex-Springbok scrumhalf Garth Wright and his business partner, Gary Stephenson, has done so much good work for less fortunate children in the Eastern Cape region. This year the charity has achieved its highest ever total of R1.5 million and shows no signs of slowing down.

This year the charity was championed by French journeyman and Ironman, Nicolas Gracco de Lay who made the journey from his hometown in the South of France to South Africa by car. On his southbound journey, he collected various sporting items which he generously donated to the KFC Ironman 4 the Kidz to be auctioned off after the Spec-Savers IRONMAN South Africa.

Among the items up for auction is kit from French Olympian Fred Belaubre, and Sylvain Sudrie, 2012 ITU Long Distance World Champion, authentic national football jerseys signed by the 2012 CAF African Cup of Nations winners, Zambia as well as Senegal and various other items.

To view all the items and to place a bid, get online and visit the Ironman 4 the Kidz Auction page www.ironman4thekidz.co.za/auctions.

All funds raised from the auctioned items will be distributed among 11 child-based beneficiaries in the Eastern Cape region. The auction is now open and will run until 30 July 2012.

Get your bids in and you could not only own a priceless piece of genuine sporting memorabilia but also know that you’ve made a real difference in the lives of less fortunate children.
