Less than 300 entries remain for Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 South Africa
Tight finishes, close calls and mad scrambles are all part and parcel of the Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 South Africa. The 2012 event however, is set to cause a mad scramble even months before race day as less than 300 entries remain for the popular race.

With 3000 athletes expected to line up on Orient Beach in January and more than 2700 of them having already secured their place, the event looks set to once again sell out meaning that the remaining entries are fast becoming priceless commodities.

“Once bitten twice shy” is not an expression used in Ironman circles because once the Ironman 70.3 bug bites, it bites hard! Athletes rarely do the event once and always have an insatiable need to return to the place where they previously tested their physical and mental limits. Along with the established members of the Ironman 70.3 family, the event attracts a host of first-timers who aim to conquer their fears, inhibitions and the legendary Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 South Africa course.

There has never been a better time to join the exclusive Ironman 70.3 family! The pre-race jitters, uncontrollable excitement on race morning and sheer elation at crossing the finish line is something that each and every Ironman 70.3 athlete goes through. The first step to joining them is to enter, but be quick as the remaining entries will not be available for long. Normal entries are R1500 and close on 4 November 2011.

Entries are taken on a first-come-first-served basis meaning that athletes who have pre-registered online but have not yet made payment need do so soon or run the risk of losing a slot to the most anticipated event of 2012.
