Positioned to showcase local entrepreneurship the Locally Yours Market is dedicated to creating a platform of innovative expression for entrepreneurs of hand made products who hail exclusively from the Eastern Cape. Our Christmas market that will be held over 3 days will be no different, in fact we have most certainly been hard at work to plan the most extraordinary experience for our local supporters and visitors to the “Friendly City”. All the handmade items have been carefully selected to ensure that we give our visitors 3 days filled with unforgettable memories and a fantastic shopping experience.

 

Even Santa needs helpers and who better than homegrown goodness to spread the love this Christmas. knowing that keeping your gift a secret until Christmas is really important so we have a unique wrapping station that will be available in aid of the Animal Anti Cruelty League who will be supported by Pickfords and their amazing team of volunteers. But wait there’s more! Why not try something different by couriering your gift with Fastway couriers who will be on standby to deliver your special gifts in time for Christmas, right from the venue.

 

While browsing through the stalls you will be entertained at lunch by our very own up and coming young vocalist, Kelly Le Roux as she will be filling the magical Tramways building with her angelic renditions of Christmas carols and various sing along songs. Taking over while enjoying a sundowner and late afternoon shopping we will be bringing good summer vibes and the Christmas spirit with the compliments of Edward Allen who will be entertaining us until closing time at 8PM.

 

This is not only a market but rather a gathering and showcase of individuals whose sole intention is to share with you their passion expressed through their creations. By supporting this event encouragement is given to the hopes, dreams and aspirations of our incredibly talented entrepreneurs.

 

Reaching out to support causes is part of our ethos and we are proud to announce that fresh produce that will be available as an initiative by Masakhane (Port Elizabeth Mental Health) as well as hand-made Christmas trees and snowmen which is in aid of fund raising for Uitenhage Mental Health.

 

A gallery for our fine artists in the upstairs area is where you will find the awe-inspiring work of Chantal Fielding, Sharon Boyd, Loyiso Mqingwana and The Association of Mouth and Foot Painters. A must-see exhibition.

 

Let’s not forget the foodies, there is a wide variety of delicious delights including sushi, homemade pies, Halaal curries, fresh oysters, decadent cheeses and something for the sweet tooth guaranteed to dazzle your Christmas table, to mention but a few. Our menus extend far beyond traditional food to include meals to suit all types of appetites uniquely presented on environmentally friendly serving plates. #saynotothestraw.
