Logos Hope will make her first ever visit to Port Elizabeth and be open to the public in Port of Port Elizabeth, Multi-Purpose Terminal, Fleming St. entrance, on the 9th June, with her 400 crewmembers from across the globe. The unique vessel offers exclusive on-board events for people of all ages, in addition to its array of quality, affordable books. Logos Hope offers an expanded selection of over 5,000 titles at affordable prices. With children’s titles, academic texts, science, hobbies, dictionaries, atlases and more, the book fair is something the whole family can enjoy. Additionally, the rest of the Visitor Experience deck is also open for the public to explore. From the Welcome Area, which introduces the new vessel through a short movie and interactive displays, to the International Café, which has ice cream, drinks and snacks for sale, there is sure to be something for everyone.
Logos Hope is operated by GBA Ships e.V., an international, charitable organization registered in Germany. Since 1970, the organization has welcomed over 45 million visitors up the gangways in over 150 countries and territories around the world.
Logos Hope will open to the public at Multi-Purpose Terminal, Fleming Street Entrance, Port of Port Elizabeth from 9th June 2016 – 19th June 2016. Opening hours are as follows: Wed to Sat: 10am - 9:00pm; Sun, Mon, Tue: 2pm - 9:00pm; There is an entrance fee of 5R per person; children under 12 years old enter for free, but must be accompanied by an adult.
