This starts the last phase of world cup tickets sales as the final leg of preparation for the global events gets underway. The centre in Nelson Mandela Bay is one of 11 in the country. “We are excited that finally our people will have easy access to tickets for the historic event. There will be FIFA branded caps and T-shirts for those who buy first after the doors open at 9am,” said Errol Heynes, Executive Director of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Nelson Mandela Bay.
Tickets buyers will need to produce their ID books or a certified copy to purchase a ticket. They will also have to supply their physical address as required by FIFA. The Nelson Mandela Bay, Port Elizabeth Ticketing Centre will open from 9am-6pm daily from tomorrow (15 April) until the last day of the tournament.
Ticket Sales Centre Manager, Eliza Meyer, said for collection of tickets booked through FNB or the Internet, buyers will have to produce their IDs or certified copies. Tickets can also be bought over the counter from Shoprite Checkers in Clearly Park and Newton Park from the 19th of April.
