Mohair South Africa goes global for two prestigious shows

Mohair South Africa (MSA) representatives showcased the versatility of this proudly South African product at the recent Vogue Knitting Live in Seattle as well as the Pittsburgh Knit & Crochet show earlier this year.

The Vogue Knitting Live event was held on the 14-16 March 2014 where MSA was the premier sponsor of the show; giving MSA the opportunity to engage with consumers directly and share the Mohair story. In addition, guests who had access to the VIP lounge received Mohair gift bags, giving each visitor a chance to interact and get a feel for the product. Lucky draws were also held throughout the show.

The Pittsburgh Knit & Crochet show was the 11th annual festival but a first for MSA. Workshops with Steven Be, the brain child behind Glitter Knitter, were a great success and the designer sold out of Mohair yarn on the second day of the show. Gift bags, including yarn, patterns and knitting needles, were handed out to attendees, ensuring each visitor took a piece of South Africa home with them. The various Mohair presentations that were shown were also a wonderful opportunity for guests to learn more about the brand.

MSA Marketing Co-Ordinator, Anle Marais concluded “It’s always such a pleasure showcasing our quality home-grown brand to the rest of the world. We have a first-class product on our shores that really speaks for itself, no matter where we go. The fact that it’s versatile, durable and luxurious makes it a brand we should all be proud of.”
