Gqeberha, Nelson Mandela Bay, March 6, 2024 - The Nelson Mandela Bay Convention Bureau, a pivotal arm of the NMBM Economic Development, Tourism, and Agriculture (EDTA) Directorate, recently concluded an impactful Hosted Buyers Fam Trip showcasing the diverse offerings of Nelson Mandela Bay. The event, held from February 29 to March 2, 2024, welcomed a select group of international buyers in response to an invitation from South African Tourism.

Hosted buyers from Kenya, India, Canada, Malaysia, Botswana, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey, Singapore, and South Africa embarked on an educational journey, immersing themselves in the unique experiences and opportunities available in Gqeberha, Nelson Mandela Bay.

The meticulously curated itinerary aimed at forging meaningful connections and cultivating leads with significant economic spin-offs for the region. Key activities included visits to iconic attractions such as the Cape Recife Lighthouse, wildlife experiences at Nyosi Wildlife Reserve, an immersive Bellevue Forest Giraffe Walking Safaris, and educational visits to SANCOBB Penguin Rehabilitation Centre and site inspections to some of our conference venues including The Sun International Boardwalk and Radisson Blu.
