PARKVIEW LODGE HAD ITS OFFICIAL GRAND OPENING EVENT ON THE 15 SEPTEMBER 2017.
A total of 55 guests attended the function. Under the guests there were owners of other lodges and owners of different businesses from Port Elizabeth and St Francis as well as from Cape Town.
There were a few travel agents and people from different media places.
The manger welcomed everybody and gave a brief overview of how ParkView Lodge started and the process that was followed to get to this date of opening. The lodge exist of 7 very luxury tents with a direct view of ADDO Elephant Park and many a day sightings of animals inside the park from the decks of the tents. There is also 3 very luxury rooms in the main building. All room are 5 star and equipped to that level of service. They also have open air game viewer for guests to visit the park with a trained game ranger. Service and attention to detail are of the highest level.
Guests were taken on a tour of the facility as well as the tents. Soup and canapés were served throughout the evening and by the standard of the food it was proven why this is a 5 star lodge and restaurant. The restaurant are also open to the public even if they not staying in.
The manager then explained the future plans off ParkView Lodge with an airstrip and possible 9 hole golf course. Also more self-catering units and a second restaurant on the edge of the river.
Mr. Mogorosi, the owner then told everybody that ParkView lodge is the new bench mark for Colchester and everybody is welcome to join the road ahead and that he sees competition as a good business practice. He also said we here to make a difference to the community and looking forward to partner with role players that can add value to ParkView Lodge and grow the community.
Mr. Andrew Whitfield with the portfolio of economic development and tourism from the NMBM then started by thanking ParkView Lodge for their investment into tourism in this area and said that tourism is off utmost importance to NMBM and for the growth of the region. He congratulated ParkView Lodge on the high standard of the product on offer and wished them well for the future.
He then declared ParkView Lodge open and ready for business.
