Port Elizabeth Wedding Venue Voted SA’s Best
The Plantation led its field of 115 wedding venues countrywide, scoring an average of 99.673% in the bridal rating scale. Over 4600 brides who were married in South Africa in the past year nominated and rated their wedding suppliers for the quality of their product and service, the attitude of their staff and the value for money they received.
The Plantation also won a gold award for the top in-house wedding planning service in the Eastern Cape, and Enjoy Productions, The Plantation’s in-house DJ, won a gold award for its DJ services.

The Plantation has hosted over 450 weddings since it opened in 2006. Designed as an all-in-one wedding venue, it offers a charming chapel, elegant ballroom, plush bridal suite and 4-star guest accommodation, situated in manicured gardens in Port Elizabeth’s indigenous coastal forest.
Approximately 50% of the brides and grooms married at The Plantation reside overseas or elsewhere in South Africa, and thousands of wedding guests visit Port Elizabeth each year specifically to attend weddings at The Plantation. The revenue generated for the Eastern Cape adds to the significant R27 billion per annum wedding industry in South Africa.
Port Elizabeth based L Designs Bridal Couture also won a national award in the bridal couture category, and scored the highest overall score of any wedding supplier, with an average of 99.827%.
