Renewal of Tourism Grading Support Programme Offers Up to 90% Discount Opportunity

The Tourism Grading Support Programme, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA), has been renewed for the period spanning April 2024 to March 2025. This initiative is part of the Department of Tourism’s broader Tourism Incentive Programme, aimed at incentivizing the development and enhancement of graded establishments.

Through this programme, eligible establishments have the opportunity to receive significant discounts of up to 80% on TGCSA grading fees. To qualify for this substantial discount, please ensure the submission of the following documents:

- A copy of your current and valid SARS Tax Clearance Certificate
- A copy of your identity document (ID)
- Relevant business registration documents, such as company registration documents (for CCs and Private - Companies), partnership agreements (for Partnerships), or trust deeds (for Trusts), along with identification documents (for Sole Proprietors)
- A certified copy of your B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (in the case of Exempt Micro Enterprises to Qualifying Small Enterprises with more than 51% black shareholding)
- A copy of your public liability insurance
- Additionally, if your business is a member of TOMSA, you will qualify for an extra 10% discount, allowing for a total potential discount of up to 90%.
