SATISFY THE CRAVING FOR REAL FRESH SEAFOOD AT THE BOARDWALK'S COAST

Welcome from Boardwalk Coast Restaurant

THE BOARDWALK’S COAST

Filling the gap for an authentic seafood offering in the precinct, The Boardwalk has unveiled Coast, a fresh and contemporary restaurant featuring a sumptuous menu of seafood and fresh fish dishes. The new restaurant, replacing Sun Restaurant, boasts a crisp yet welcoming interior with hues of blue and contrasted with earthy tones, providing a decidedly ocean-side feel.

The opening of Coast forms part of the refreshment of The Boardwalk’s food and beverage offering to offer more diverse dining experiences to guests. In September 2015, The Boardwalk opened Craft, a trendy gastro-diner offering extraordinary burger combinations, legendary ribs, specialty beers and cocktails, and signature milkshakes.

Both restaurants overlook the lake at the centre of The Boardwalk’s retail section, with both indoors and el fresco seating.

“Ironically, though perched close to the ocean, the Boardwalk precinct lacks choice when it comes to seafood. We are taking advantage of our exquisite location, just a stone’s throw from the ocean and our spectacular lakeside setting, and filling this gap. Coast it a welcome addition to our continuously diversifying food and beverage offering, and is sure to hit the spot with locals and holidaymakers seeking fresh, quality seafood prepared to perfection,” says Nqobile Majozi, Marketing Manager at The Boardwalk.

Though specializing in fresh, locally-sourced sustainable seafood and fish, Coast will also offer a selection of grill items for those who enjoy the meaty side of life. Wine enthusiasts will find sanctuary at Coast where there is a seemingly endless selection of carefully selected red and white wines to suit every palate.

To celebrate the opening of Coast, the culinary team has put together some enticing specials. The first is fresh line fish paired with a complimentary glass of Durbanville Hills chardonnay for R95. The succulent 200g piece of fish is served with a baked potato with sour cream and a crisp salad.

The second special is a mouthwatering seafood platter for two with two complimentary glasses of Moet & Chandon champagne for R345. The speciality platter is laden with smoked and cured salmon, fresh tuna, shucked oysters and smoked trout. The platter is served with a generous portion of rice and chips.

Coast is open from 18h00 on week nights and from 12h00 until late on Saturdays and Sundays. For bookings and enquiries contact 041 504 7509.
