The 43 strong team, who have already qualified to be lifesavers, will be put through their paces once a week as they endure a fitness evaluation test, making sure they are ready to keep the thousands of beach lovers safe this festive season.
This year sees a few rookie (newly qualified) lifesavers volunteering to be part of the action.
