SIFISO NENE BRINGS BABY MAMA DRAMA TO THE BAY
Popular South African comedian, Sifiso Nene brings his outrageously successful Baby Mama Drama tour to Port Elizabeth this month. The comedian, who was the first winner of So You Think You are Funny in 2009, has been packing out venues across the country with the show which is his first one man production.
Baby Mama Drama is based on a strong observation made about single parenting issues. A casualty of single parenting himself, Nene’s aim is to change the perception that parents are monsters. Touching on some sensitive issues and featuring stories from his own youth, told with his characteristic humour, Nene will have his audience rolling on the floor laughing.
Nene has come a long way since his humble beginnings in Empangeni in KwaZulu-Natal. Since winning So You Think You are Funny, he has won several awards including the Satmas for the Best Indigenous Comedian as well as two Comics Choice Awards which are voted for by the audience. In addition to travelling the country making people laugh, he has also made a few television appearances and acted in David Kau’s comedy film Taxi Ride in 2012.
Don’t miss Nene in Baby Mama Drama at The Boardwalk’s The Boardwalk Amphitheatr at 20h30 on 25 June. Tickets cost R120 per person at Computicket.
