Nelson Mandela Bay (NMB) is a destination which is proud of being home to a variety of unique attractions and exciting activities. Ocean Divers International (PE) is a member and product of Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism (NMBT) which has once again excelled to up their game and extend a greater offering to their local clients as well as visitors to Algoa Bay.

There are a number of different types of dive centre and resort statuses one can achieve with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and Ocean Divers International (PE) has just been awarded one of the highest a dive centre can achieve. They have achieved PADI Five Star Instructor Development Centres (Five Star IDC) status, making them the only dive centre in the Eastern Cape to offer this service.

NMBT have also partnered with Ocean Divers International (PE) by making a scuba Dive experience accessible to locals and visitors when utilising the Nelson Mandela Bay Pass Card. With this card one is able to explore beautiful reefs, shipwrecks, fish and colourful soft coral species. The protected, warm water of Algoa Bay provides scuba divers with the most exciting and diverse range of dive sites in the country. Reefs and pinnacles range from depths of ten to thirty meters, especially round the Cape Recife area, and visibility of up to 30 meters has been recorded.

ODI has joined the Starfish Aquatics Institute (SAI) as a Training Center. SAI is one of the largest lifeguard, swim instructor and pool operator certifying agencies in the United States.  In partnership with Human Kinetics, SAI offers state-of-the-art training courses and also provides risk management services to the aquatic industry.
