THE BOARDWALK BRINGS SMILES AND CHEER TO CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL WARDS

The young patients at the Dora Ngiza and Livingstone hospitals couldn’t help but smile when a team of spirited employees from The Boardwalk visited them over festive season. They burst into the children’s wards laden with toys and treats on 23 December 2017 and spent time cuddling and playing with the young children. This was the seventh consecutive year that The Boardwalk has visited the children’s ward at Dora Ngiza hospital and the second year visiting the Livingstone hospital. Their arrival was marked by the sound of music and cheerful chanting. The Boardwalk’s team, including chefs, also helped prepare hearty Christmas lunches for the elated young patients at both hospitals.

“We were thrilled to spend time spreading some love and cheer at the children’s wards over the festive season. Being in hospital is no way to spend the holidays and our visit was a tremendous distraction for the patients, allowing them to feel the joy and merriment that should surround them at that time of year,” says The Boardwalk’s General Manager Mike van Vuuren.
