THE FIRST SUPPER CLUB POP-UP RESTAURANT GRACES THE VALLEY
The first ever edition of The Supper Club, hosted by Food In PE in collaboration with Harald’s and Marina Sea Salt, will be happening on Sunday the 28th of May at Chicky’s Yard, a trendy new spot in Port Elizabeth’s Baakens Valley.
The Supper Club is a pop-up restaurant, which will see a variety of different cuisines presented by some of PE’s most talented food wizards. Guests will be treated to a night of fine dining with friends, music and culture. They will enjoy a three course tasting menu, with delicious wine from For The Love of Wine paired with each course, a coffee bar by Ground Floor Cafe and live music to end it off before guests leave with gift bags filled with special surprises.
The menu is specially created for the night by talented chef, Harald Greeff, who has almost ten years of rich experience in the food and hospitality industry. Greeff has worked at a few establishments in Stellenbosch, as well as a number of eateries in Port Elizabeth, including Friendly Stranger, Muse and The Boardwalk Hotel.
“The aim of The Supper Club is to showcase the best in PE’s food culture, all in one place,” says Kgosi Motsepe, manager of Food In PE. “Food In PE believes that collaboration is sometimes the best way to achieve a great experience,” he continues. Other collaborators include Manna Delights, Han-Made Ice Cream, Brickmaker’s Distilling Co and Angel Wings Ceramics.
