This Malaria Free reserve is abundant with over 15 antelope species, several smaller African animals, such as warthog, monkeys, genets, etc. and other larger African animals such as Hippo, Giraffe and Rhino. Schotia was the first reserve in the Cape Province to have free roaming lions and has a healthy pride of hunting lions.The tooth & claw lodge sleeps a maximum of six guests in three double chalets. All three chalets have en-suite bathrooms as well as a fireplace. The chalets are very private and built in the heart of the bush, which creates a unique and private atmosphere. The lodge prides itself on personalised service and has a highly motivated staff, offering 24 hour service on a fully catered basis only.
