Description

Whistlewood was built circa 1875, initially influenced by Victorian and Dutch architecture and owned by wealthy prince merchants of the period. Walmer, a then upmarket rural garden village with its wide leafy tree lanes and own railway line attracted many, and its popularity has not waned.
Much has changed over the years, as Walmer is both a bustling business and residential area. Its leafy and central position makes it an attractive place to reside.

Whistlewood, an old home with high Ceilings, Stained Glass Windows, and doubled-backed fireplaces has now been lovingly restored to offer a unique modern accommodation entwined with historic charm to offer its guests a memorable stay.

The house has been updated with Solar Power to avoid power disruption to our guests and visitors. Back-up water tanks have been installed as we navigate a severe drought and water restrictions in the Eastern Cape
